The Sidemen - An Extended Band

       Don't let the size of the Sidemen fool you. Some of the best bands in history have been just a trio (3-piece band). We carefully arrange our performance to use the best instrumentation at hand. In fact, we constantly surprise people with the size of our sound. Whilst we know that this is a great way to achieve our sound, keep the cost low for you and provide exactly what most functions need, sometimes we can alter our set or lineup to suit a more bespoke situation. Let us explain...

      We often do gigs that require a more restrained first set, perhaps over a meal or as background while guests arrive. In this case, the usual floor filling function set may not be suitable. No-one likes dancing while they eat! For this reason, we also have a plethora of early evening songs available from swing standards to jazzy-soul numbers. We'll set the scene according to your event, simple as that. Just tell us what you need and we can use our extensive experience to provide the best solutions for you.

      On the other hand, we also have a huge contact address book full of musicians that relish the chance to join us on stage. From trumpets to saxophones, keyboards to guitars and even singers. We're proud of our sound as it is but we also enjoy the opportunity to call on our friends. If you want more guys on stage or wanted a certain line-up to suit your event (a rock 'n' roll night really suits having a sax up there!) then just ask for details. We have everything you need.

       Also, please don't forget that we can offer smaller groups for earlier in the day. We do this often for weddings; a singer & two guitars playing during the meal (pop, folk, jazz, swing) and then a full band for the evening. Easy to sort and the organisation of one band/act is far simpler so drop us a line with whatever you need.
